One thing is for sure, it’s a long way from Hollywood. Yet here is what Fede Alvarez says happened to him back in November after he posted an under five-minute video Araque de Panico! (Panic Attack!) on You Tube :
“I uploaded (Panic Attack!) on a Thursday and on Monday my inbox was totally full of e-mails from Hollywood studios.”
As of today the video has been viewed more than 5 million times and according to a BBC article, Alvarez has been offered a multimillion dollar contract to produce a sci-fi film.
“If some director from some country can achieve this just uploading a video to YouTube, it obviously means that anyone could do it.”
