On Monday I did a shoot in Little Falls, Minnesota and met a fellow who said he gave a bike ride to future actress Jessica Lange when she lived there in ninth grade. But the two-time Oscar-winning actress is not the most famous resident to have ever lived in Little Falls. That honor would go to Charles Lindbergh who grew up in the small town on the Mississippi River. (Jimmy Stewart played Lindbergh in the 1957 film The Spirit of St. Louis.)
Above is where he spent his boyhood summers long before he became the first person to fly solo from North America to Europe in 1927—less than ten years after he graduated from Little Falls High School. (The Charles A. Lindbergh House is now part of a Minnesota State Park.)
