Boston has a wonderful history and a rich literary tradition. Some of my favorite films were shot there, “Good Will Hunting,” “Amistad,” “The Firm” and many people forget that “Field of Dreams” was not only shot in Iowa but in Boston as well. Check out 48hourfilm.com/boston where you make a short film in 48 hours. It’s a good way to meet production people and only takes a weekend of your time. Keep writing and keep meeting people.

I'm an aspiring screenwriter and live in Boston. I've had the good fortune to have an agent in L.A. for a few years. I've also had a number of good production companies read my work. But that first sale still eludes me. Good to hear from an Iowan in the writing biz.
